Stock Control Manager – Avonmouth, Bristol.

About the Role

As Stock Control Manager you will be responsible for ensuring your team maintain stock availability across our categories and product ranges at all times.  Through order management best practices, you will lead a team of 7 to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time and available when our customers need it. 

Nothing is more important than providing a quality service to our customers and stock availability is crucial in delivering on that promise. 

Other aspects of the role will include raising and pursuing orders to maximise availability and managing inbound container schedules and release authorisations.  You will also act as a key point of contact for colleagues around the business so strong communication and influencing skills will be required. 

About you

To apply for this role, you will have previous experience from within a similar role within a fast-paced, multi-SKU environment.  You will also have knowledge of using an inventory planning system and have advanced MS Excel skills.  Given the nature of our business you will have experience of long lead time supply chains, typically in excess of 8 – 12 weeks. 

You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable dealing with suppliers on a proactive basis and identifying any performance issues.  Finally, you will have previous supervisory or management experience and be able to motivate, lead and develop a team to achieve targets and meet KPIs.
