About the role

Are you looking to secure your first role within a finance department?  This could be a fantastic opportunity for you.  As part of the credit control team your main responsibility will be to carry out security checks on orders paid by card and to identify any potentially fraudulent transactions.

To be suitable for this role you will have previous customer service skills and be keen to learn and develop.  You will spend much of your day on the phone so you will also be a confident communicator with the professionalism to speak to customers. 

As Sales Payment Administrator your main responsibilities will be:

  • Process all orders selected for a security check in line with company policy and next day KPI
  • Use third party systems to perform various checks, this may involve taking additional information from the customer
  • Handle sensitive customer information in adherence to data policies
  • Recognise and escalate any suspicious activity or high value orders to the line manager for review in a timely manner
  • Liaise with other areas of finance when a customer pays by cleared funds, ensuring the payment is received and added to the order without any delay to delivery

About you

For this role you don’t necessarily need previous experience.  You may have a relevant qualification or be studying AAT and looking for some practical experience.  You will however have strong communication skills and be comfortable making outbound calls.  You will also have IT skills to include Excel and Outlook.
